More than 6,000 companies in Czechia will be affected by the new requirements.

What is NIS2
-
Directive (EU) 2022/2555 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2022 on measures for a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union.
It sets out minimum cybersecurity requirements for companies and organisations carrying out activities in significant industries. EU Member States must incorporate the Directive into their legal systems, which is why a new Cyber Security Act is currently being drafted in the Czech Republic in accordance with the Directive.
The Act is expected to come into force in October 2024.
Who will be subject to the requirements
The Directive sets out two regimes of obligations. A stricter "essential" and a less strict "important".
Most subjects will be in the "important" regime.
